A few of the jobs we do most often. These are sample projects with illustrative photography, so you can see how a job is described before you ask for yours.

What happens after you ask.
No surprises: you know what will be done, what it costs and when, before anyone climbs.
Step 1: Tell us about the tree
Use the quote form or call. A photo or two helps us bring the right kit to the visit.
Step 2: We visit and quote in writing
We look at the tree with you, check for any protection and send a clear written quote with the price.
Step 3: We do the work and clear up
On the agreed day the team does the work, chips the waste and leaves the garden swept and tidy.

Logs left for your stove

Good tree work is mostly the planning.
The cutting is the quick part. Most of our time goes on looking at the tree properly, checking what is allowed, and planning how every piece comes down safely.
- Permissions checkedWe check for preservation orders and conservation areas before we quote.
- Nests checked firstIf birds are nesting, we wait, unless a tree is dangerous.
- Trained climbersChainsaw and tree-climbing certificates, held by the people who climb.
- Nothing left behindGreen waste chipped and recycled; the garden swept before we go.
What common jobs usually cost.

“Two climbers took our sycamore down in sections over the bungalow roof and the greenhouse. Nothing was touched, and the lawn was raked before they left.”

“They told us the oak had a preservation order before we had even asked, sent the application to the council and did the reduction once consent came through.”
- PriyaBramhall · Stump grindingSample review
“A clear written quote, there on the day they said, and the stump grinder fitted through our side gate with room to spare.”
- MartinHazel Grove · Hedge reductionSample review
“Our leylandii had got far too tall. It is now a tidy two metres and they took every last clipping away.”
- SuePoynton · Hedge cuttingSample review
“They found a blackbird nesting in the hedge and came back in September instead. Glad they checked.”
- GarethMarple · Crown reductionSample review
“Two limes were shading the whole garden. After the reduction you would hardly know they had been touched, which is exactly what we wanted.”

Questions people ask us first.
Plain answers about permission, prices, waste and access.
How much does tree work cost?
It depends on the tree, the access and what sits underneath it. Our guide prices start from £120 for a single stump and £280 for pruning a small tree, and every job gets a written quote after a visit.
Do I need permission to work on my tree?
In England, only if it has a Tree Preservation Order, you are in a conservation area or a planning condition covers it. We check with the council before we quote and handle the application or notice for you.
Do I need to be at home?
Not usually, as long as we can get into the garden and you have agreed the work with us beforehand. We will ask about parking and access when we book the day.
What happens to the waste?
Branches are chipped on site and the chippings and logs are recycled, or left for you if you would like them. The garden is raked and swept before we leave.
Are you insured?
Yes. We hold £5m public liability cover and can send the certificate with your quote. (A sample detail in this demo.)
Can you cut back my neighbour’s branches?
In England and Wales you can generally cut branches that overhang your side back to the boundary, as long as the tree is not protected. It is usual to talk to your neighbour first and offer them the cuttings. We check for protection before we start.
Got a question we haven’t answered?
Ask in the quote form’s note, or call and talk it through with the person who will do the work.
Tell us about your tree.
A few short steps and no obligation. We reply to talk about a visit, then send a written quote. Free written quotes come with every visit.
